Twin Sisters of the World

Here's my entry for mascot contest with my twins ^^

Here are Westimay (West-ie-may) and Eastemei (East-ay-may) Westimay is the left one, and Eastemei is the one in the right~ So! I have a little story between these two:

Eastemei was the first born of a young family of Father Heaven and Mother Earth. Westimay was born soon later as the younger sister. They were great sisters! They both would share their toys and drawing pencils together and draw small little scribbles of each other. But that all changed. Eastemei suddenly wanted to keep all of her stuff to herself because she was tired of Westimay always relying to use her stuff! Eastimei secluded herself and her stuff away from Westimay, which greatly hurt Westimay's feelings. Westimay tried and tried to apologize and to get Eastimei to come back! But Eastimei was stubborn and would not listen to her little sister. Westimay was so fed up with this horrible treatment, that she barged into her older sister's room and dropped candy wrappers and trash unto the floor and left. Day by day this continued, until Eastimei gave up and apologized and started to share her stuff with her little sister again. From then on, they became the best sisters ever!

So! That story was a little parody between the West and the East and their relationships in the past. The West and the East had great relations from trading several tems that can not be acquired from their own hemisphere. But a conflict began, shown when the east started to trade opium to China which caused China to be in unrest. Not only that, but the West relied heavily on the East's items while trading. The East started to isolate themselves from the rest of the World, and the West tried to get them to open up again because they needed their items to trade. Finally, the East opened up, and trade continued between the two.

Oh! And I would like to thank for helping me make up the story ^^

Haha, a little history lesson for you guys xD
But anyways! I wanted them to be twins because I thought it would be cute to split them between the west and the east. I'm sorry that I didn't include like...african or indian touches to them though D: I'm not trying to seclude you guys >_<
